Infoworld ran the numbers and was surprised to find that Verizon's new data plans in many cases will cost *less*, not more, than its current plans and its competitors' current plans. Moderate data users (or those who do most of their heavy video watching/streaming on WiFi) may actually save money, but those who don't talk or text much will see an increase. Verizon is basically trying to do away with people having parents/relatives that are voice-only added to family plans for just $10/month each person...problem for my family is that I have 3 relatives added to my family plan that are voice-only!

Even though everyone is selling the Samsung Galaxy S III for $199 or less on contract, T-Mobile plans to sell the 16GB version for $329 and then offer a $50 mail-in rebate.
