I just cannot imagine how crazy and cruel the one-child policy in China is...forced abortions and sterilizations being enforced by power-mad officials just seems like a horrific situation. Forcing a woman to get an abortion a *week* before her due date, resulting the death of the baby and mother? Abortions and sterilizations are often performed at clinics that Chinese officials even admit have inadequate medical training and equipment:

It is so sad to read about an 8-month-old child being killed by a pit bull attack. Even more disturbing to me is that his mother or mother's roommate had 3 pit bulls--A mom, roommate, 8-month-old, and 3 pit bulls in an apartment?
