LOTD for May 3

I'm not sure how happy the general public will be if/when they hear about this--Mav6 is building a huge robotic spy blimp for the Air Force for homeland security missions over U.S. soil...with the blimp having 100 guided missiles that can hit pinpoint targets up to 5 miles away. The marketing brochure includes missions such as "crowd control" and "law enforcement"...do we really want a robot blimp with 100 guided missiles being used for crowd control in the U.S.?

The U.S. government released personal communications from Osama Bin Laden, in what appears to be an attempt to create conflict within al-Qaida, especially when Bin Laden himself writes about how he disagreed with al-Qaida's actions:

Study found that spring is coming earlier than even the global warming models had predicted, with plants leafing out and flowering sooner each year than predicted by warming experiments. The study went through historical observations and found that previous studies dramatically underestimated how how plants are responding to climate change:

Study found that jogging between 1 and 2.5 hours per week at a "slow or average" pace increases the life expectancy of men by 6.2 years and women by 5.6 years:

Target has sold a lot of Amazon's Kindle devices since 2010--in fact, the Kindle Fire was the best-selling tablet at Target during Black Friday last year.  However, Target has decided to stop selling the Kindle Fire because they are in competition with Amazon:
