Arkansas woman regularly gathered a handful of discarded lottery tickets from the trash can of a store and was shocked to discover than one of the tickets won $1 mil!  Unfortunately for her, a judge ruled that the woman who threw the ticket away (the ticket scanner told her that the ticket was not a winner) should get the $1 mil.  The woman who found the ticket said that the ticket buyer gave up her rights to the ticket when she threw it away, but the judge said that the ticket buyer has the right to the money:

75-year-old man in Florida went to the edge of the water to retrieve a golf ball in one of the course's ponds and was attacked by an alligator!  The 9-foot, 190-pound gator lift lifted him up 3 feet, slammed him to the ground and the man was lucky to survive...he had to have 35-40 stiches to close a 10-inch lance wound and 2 other 5-inch wounds:
