Researchers created an invisible, light-detecting device that can "see without being seen". They showed that coating a reflective metal can actually make something less visible, as the reflected light from 2 materials cancel each other to make the device invisible:

China approved Google's $12.5 bil acquisition of Motorola Mobility, the last country to sign off on the deal. Chinese officials required one major condition, that Google must keep Android free in China for the next 5 years and not discriminate against any Android handset maker:

T-Mobile and MetroPCS do not want the FCC to simply allow Dish Network to use its 40 MHz of nationwide 2 GHz spectrum for its planned LTE Advanced network. T-Mobile said that Dish should give up 20 MHz of its 40 MHz of spectrum and that the FCC should be able to put that spectrum up for auction (which I'm guessing T-Mobile would be bidding on as it needs 4G spectrum). MetroCS said that Dish should give up 30 MHz of its 40 MHz of spectrum in the 100 metropolitan areas in the U.S. and be allowed to use its full 40 MHz in rural and other areas away from those big metro locations...it should be noted that MetroPCS serves metro areas (and could use spectrum there) and doesn't serve rural areas:

The New York City luxury real estate market seems to have turned around--good example of this is how a developer bought a parking garage for $120 mil and is converting it into just 6 luxury condos. The penthouse will be listed for $49 mil and the parking space will be listed for $1 mil! $1 mil for a parking space! However, a Manhattan parking space inside of the building that a private person lives has huge value...but $1 mil for a parking space!

GM decided not to advertise during the next Super Bowl, where ads can cost $4 mil for a 30-second ad. GM spent $21 mil on advertising for the last Super Bowl, including 4 ads during the game and 2 postgame ads. GM also skipped advertising on several other Super Bowls in the recent past:

33-year-old Tennessee man has reportedly set a Knox County record for fathering *30* children with 11 women. The man said in a TV interview 3 years ago that he wouldn't father more children...but instead has fathered 9 children over the last 3 years. The man is in the news because he's had to ask for a break on his child-support payments because he is struggling to live on his minimum-wage job. The law requires him to turn over 50% of his wages for child support and he wants to reduce that percentage--some of the children get only $1.49 per month in child support payments already:
