Silicon Valley engineers are anxiously awaiting the release of the new Lego Mindstorms kit. The Mindstorms sets make it easy to build remote-controlled robots, but the new Mindstorms is actually much more powerful since it uses Linux for the first time and controller apps are integrated for tablets and smartphones:

Florida is supposed to be keeping sex offenders in prison with their Ryce law, but for every rapist and child molester they keep in prison under the Ryce law, 2 others are set free and are arrested again for a sex crime.  These predators have molested more than 460 children, raped 121 women, and killed 14 of their victims.  Six of the sex offenders found new victims the *same day* they walked out of prison:

Iran is rapidly approaching the nuclear weapon breakout point, where they will only need a week or two to build a nuclear bomb once their leadership decides to do so.  This means that the US or Israel won't be able to react quick enough militarily to stop Iran from building a nuclear weapon:

Comcast is trying to fight off Google Fiber in Provo, Utah by slashing their prices to meet the low prices that Google is charging...it is great for the people of Provo, but it also shows how the cable companies can easily charge less than they currently charge:
