BlackBerry's options to sell their company may be limited because there doesn't seem to be any company that interested in buying them.  One of BlackBerry's shareholders is reportedly looking for a private equity buyout of BlackBerry:

US wireless carriers had their worst quarter (in terms of lowest net new subscribers) in US mobile history, a drop of 95% from 2012.  Sprint lost 2.034 mil customers last quarter, Cricket lost 364,000 and US Cellular lost 127,000.  Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile gained customers, but overall the industry struggled:
