Elon Musk revealed the technical details of the Hyperloop transportation system that solves the Kantrowitz limit. The system would get people from LA to San Francisco in just 30 minutes, with 28 people per capsule and capsules leaving every 30 seconds. The cost of a 1-way ticket comes out to $20...this is amazing if it can be commercialized:

Resort near Disney World was swallowed by a sinkhole about 60 feet in diameter and 15 feet deep. This happened about 10:30pm Sunday night and guests had only 10-15 minutes to escape the collapsing buildings.
