I expect that the city of San Diego will have an amazing fireworks show this year...the same producer and fireworks company that were responsible for the horrible failure during last year's July 4th show are back and will want to make up for their widely publicized debacle. I didn't realize that the city of San Diego actually makes a profit from the fireworks show, with the profit ($50k or so this year) going to the Armed Services YMCA:

39-year-old Florida woman was arrested after hosting a party where 26 teenagers were drinking alcohol while she locked her 7-year-old in the bathroom to keep him out of the way of the party! When police tried to get into the house to rescue the 7-year-old, the teenagers yelled at the police officers to go away and prevented them from entering the house. The teenagers actually gave the police "a written notice of demands"! When police finally succeeded in breaking down the door they found a 16-year-old girl choking on her own vomit and rescued the 7-year-old boy:

Burglar broke into a home in Tulsa, Oklahoma and ended up hogtied by the homeowner. The homeowner had to go to work so he left the burglar tied up in his front yard for police to pick him up, asking his wife to watch over the burglar until the police arrived:

Texas man has been arrested and sent to jail 2 times for having sex with the same *horse*. He is apparently so obsessed with that horse that after getting out of jail for having sex with the horse 3 months ago, he returned to have sex with the horse again...and the police caught the entire incident on video. Texas doesn't have a law against having sex with animals so he was arrested both times on cruelty to animals charges:

HP got out of the market in 2011 after giving up on the webOS platform that they got from their $1.3 bil purchase of Palm. At that time HP indicated that they would stay out of the tough smartphone market, but it appears that HP plans to re-enter the smartphone market again. Considering that they spent a lot of time and money to enter the Android tablet market, my guess is that they will release an Android smartphone targeted towards enterprise customers...but will Apple and Samsung have left enough market available for HP?
