It looks like Nokia will go from selling smartphones to selling cellular infrastructure equipment. Nokia will pay $2.21 bil to get Siemens' 50% stake in Nokia Siemens Networks, so Nokia will own all of NSN. Analysts valued NSN between $6.5 bil to $9 bil, so Nokia is getting a good deal:

Facebook has been silently collecting the phone numbers of anyone who has launched the Facebook app on their Android smartphone. This is the second time in two weeks that a security company found that Facebook grabbed and stored contact information from people, even if they didn't have a Facebook account. Before someone even logs in to Facebook, Facebook sends their phone number over the Internet to Facebook servers...the user doesn't need to provide their phone number, log in, or even have a Facebook account. Considering the hundreds of millions of devices with Facebook apps (many of them with Facebook pre-installed and cannot be deleted), Facebook now has the phone numbers of anyone who even accidentally started their app:

Groupon bought Savored.com for $20 mil last fall and is using their technology to launch an OpenTable competitor.
