Interesting use of UAVs--precision agriculture to significantly reduce the amount of nutrients needed while boosting yields. This reduces the environmental impacts of farming and benefits crops, soils and groundwater. One study found that fertilizer use can be reduced by 40% while crop yields are increased by 15% and water usage decreased, with reported profit increases from $17 per acre to $54 per acre:

Android may dominate the retail smartphone market, but Apple owns the mobile Enterprise market. Apple had 75% of total mobile device activations (helped I'm sure by the dominance of the iPad). Apple lost 5% market share while Android gained 5% market share. The Samsung Galaxy SIII had 7% of the total mobile device market, the most popular Android device and a big reason for Android's increase in market share:
