LOTD for June 14

Dish completed a test of an LTE technology that delivered speeds of 20 to 50 Mbps using 2.5GHz spectrum, the same system they will use if they get Clearwire's spectrum:

Google more than tripled its mobile Internet ad revenue in 2012 ($4.61 bil) compared to 2011 and they are expected to earn $8.85 bil in 2013...more than the total worldwide mobile internet ad revenue was in 2012($8.8 bil)!  Facebook went from *0* in 2011 to just over $2 bil in 2013, getting 12.9% of global mobile internet ad revenue:

The NSA doesn't get mobile call data from T-Mobile and Verizon because they are owned in part by foreign companies.  However, the NSA can still get data on 99% of US phone traffic because nearly all calls eventually go over networks of companies that the NSA does get information from (like AT&T and Sprint):

Microsoft released Office Mobile for the iPhone today, something that iPhone users have been waiting for a long time for...but this reviewer says that Office Mobile falls well short of expectations and Apple's iWork suite and Google's Quickoffice suite are better for iOS:
