LOTD for March 26

Conspiracy theorists claim that the White House is using shapeshifting reptile guards from outer space...instead of just denying this last theory, the White House said that budget cutbacks make aliens and robots too expensive and they would have to be eliminated anyway due to the sequester:

Researchers developed efficient solar cells made from trees.  The solar cells can be quickly recycled in water at the end of their lifecycle, so this is an amazingly green way to make green energy:

Yahoo has a new employee that is a 17-year-old high school student (with 1.5 years more of high school to go) in Britain who wasn't even born when Yahoo was founded.  Yahoo bought his news-reading app for a reported $30 mil and Yahoo wants him to help them use that app to make long-form stories easier to read on smartphones:

Berkeley councilman proposed that the government tax email to raise money for the Postal Service.  The tax is structured so that more than 99% of Internet users wouldn't pay any tax, but spammers would...aren't most spammers from overseas?  In addition to taxing email, he wants to tax bits--I don't understand his cents per gigabit plan.  Tax bits?
