The U.S. Air Force needs 600 UAV pilots and sensor operators to fly its current UAVs...and the Air Force plans to more than *double* its fleet of Reaper UAVs by 2015. Last night one of my wife's old boyfriends came to our home for dinner (he's in San Diego for a UAV conference) and talked about this issue--he's a pilot with the Air Force that flies UAVs:

The Air Force's F-22 stealth fighter has been poisoning or suffocating their pilots nearly 27 times per 100,000 flight hours, at least 9x higher than other fighters...the problem is far worse than anyone outside of the military previously knew!

Nokia's big bet on Windows Phone hasn't exactly been paying off--they just announced that they will cut 10,000 jobs from their workforce and will close facilities in Germany and Canada and its manufacturing factory in Finland. Nokia revised downward its Q2 sales expectations, an indication that they know they cannot meet their previous sales expectations. Nokia had already cut 14,000 jobs last year, with this 10,000 cut in addition to that:
