LOTD for May 15

The Republicans in the House are basically forbidding the DoD from making or buying alternative fuels. The Secretary of the Navy has made renewable fuels one of his top priorities and the biofuel industry in the U.S. would likely be destroyed by this decision:

Google is working with as many as 5 device manufacturers to build Nexus devices that they will sell directly to customers from the Google Play store. I'm not sure how well this is going to work out for Google--people really like the subsidies they get from the wireless carriers and have gotten used to paying little to no money for their next phone:

Sprint was #1 in customer satisfaction among the 4 major wireless providers, with an impressive 3 years of steady and significant progress of increasing customer satisfaction. Sprint is now at 71%, ahead of Verizon (70%) and T-Mobile and AT&T at 69%:

Man spent $60k in lawyers' fees in a custody battle with his ex-girlfriend.  That isn't that unusual except for the fact that the custody battle is not over a kid..it is over his dog.  He has gone through his life's savings and needs $20k more to continue the custody battle and is asking the public for donations:
