LightSquared responded strongly to the accusation from Sen. Grassley that an associate of LightSquared tried to bribe the senator. LightSquared said that Ruelle is an acquaintance of LightSquared's owner but was never authorized to act for LightSquared and was never paid to lobby for LightSquared...though they do acknowledge that Ruelle coordinated an interview for LightSquared's owner with Fox News:

Qualcomm reported huge revenue and profit for its past quarter, with net income of $1.4 bil up 20% from the year-ago quarter and revenue of $4.68 bil up 40% from last year. However, Qualcomm also acknowledged that the Department of Justice and US Attorney's office have started an investigation into Qualcomm's compliance with a financial transparency and corruption law:

Analysis of the detailed proposal that Qualcomm submitted to the FCC for mobile broadband on airplanes that could support data connections up to 300 Gbps. The nationwide wireless network would consist of two 250 MHz licences in the 14 GHz to 14.5 GHz band and includes 150 earthbound towers around the country using a TDD OFDMA-based network. Gogo currently is used on 1,100 commercial aircraft (American Airlines, United Airlines, etc.) with just 3 MHz of spectrum, which Qualcomm said will not be able to keep up with the rapidly increasing demand for mobile broadband services:

The government of Taiwan is still backing WiMAX against LTE, increasing development of WiMAX applications and helping Taiwan's 6 WiMAX operators expand their networks. Taiwan seems to be the lone major holdout against LTE:
