Half of Libya's oil production has already been shut down, and countries like Saudi Arabia cannot replace Libya's oil because Libya produces a light, sweet crude oil that Saudi Arabia doesn't have:

Testing all the different variants was certainly something Microsoft could have done, but apparently has not.
Microsoft has been rolling out the first update to Windows Phone 7 and there have been MAJOR problems with the software update. The updates on 2 Samsung Windows 7 smartphones have either been getting stuck on step 7 out of 10 and requiring a reboot of the phone (without the update actually being installed), or the Windows 7 phones gets stuck at step 6 and the phone's firmware gets corrupted...turning the Windows 7 phone into a useless brick. The very first software update for Windows Phone 7...not a good sign!

Motorola and Verizon announced an alliance to bring LTE solutions to public safety users over Verizon's LTE network:

LightSquared is in discussions to use Sprint's cell sites and equipment to build out its network. Chicago woman hit the option to play a random opponent on Words with Friends, something that she rarely did, and found an evenly matched opponent that she began chatting with during a series of games.
