Japan's space agency is looking at putting a talking humanoid robot on the Space station to watch the mission while the astronauts sleep, monitor astronaut's health and stress levels, and communicating to Earth via Twitter. Having a robot provide "comfort and companionship" to astronauts is Japan's way to help create and refine robots that can be used by their growing elderly population:

Intel's CEO says that they will find another partner for MeeGo after losing Nokia (Meego was a combination of Intel's Moblin platform and Nokia's Maemo) when Nokia decided they couldn't afford to push ahead with MeeGo. Intel's CEO said that he would have chosen Android if he was running Nokia, but Microsoft gave Nokia an "incredible" amount of money to choose Windows Mobile. With Nokia dumping Meego and Android and Apple dominating the market, what company is going to choose to partner with Intel on a new platform that isn't established and has no apps?

Apple is dominating the App Store market, with $1.78 bil in worldwide sales last year and 82.7% of the App Store revenues. Apple had 92.8% of all app revenues in 2009, so they have lost some market share but are still dominant. The iPad (which was introduced in 2010) has played a significant role in Apple's app sales, with iPad apps costing more than iPhone apps:
