The senior director of technology at the GSM Association declared that WiMAX is on "life-support" because LTE is winning the 4G battle. He pointed out that WiMAX supporters said that WiMAX would take over, but there are 400+ million HSPA connections with 17 million new HSPA users every month, with just 20 million WiMAX users globally:

Garmin found that its testing showed that there is no practical way for LightSquared's LTE service to coexist with GPS. GPA uses 1.159 GHz to 1.610 GHz, which is next to LightSquared's spectrum and LightSquared's signals are significantly stronger than the lower-power GPS signals. LightSquared is denying the problem, but this is something that the FCC will be closely evaluating:

Nokia choosing Windows Phone 7 has resulted in a 4x boost in new applications being developed for Windows Phone 7...from 1% of new apps to 4% of new apps. Apple and Android absolutely DOMINATE the app developers attention--the iPhone is getting 69% of new app development, Android 25%, Windows Phone 7 now gets 4%, and BlackBerry is at 2%:
