The political turmoil has already resulted in the price of crude oil increasing by $5 a barrel since Friday, with serious concerns about how the oil tankers would be forced to sail 6,000 extra miles (12 extra days) to go from Saudi Arabia to Houston if the Suez Canal were to close. More than 35,000 ships crossed the Suez in 2009, about 3,500 of them oil tankers:

It is great to read about how Hawaii is moving so aggressively towards alternative energy, with 70% of Hawaii's energy to come from renewable sources by 2030 by law:

Remember how H-1B visas used to run out right away during the boom periods?  It took *10 months* to go through the alloted H-1B Visas for the current fiscal year, with a new H-1B period starting in 2 months with another 65,000 visas for the year:

Google is VERY unhappy that Microsoft's Bing has apparently been using *Google search results* to improve Bing's own search listings.  In fact, Google ran a sting operation that proved that Bing copied Google's search results!  Bing is *not* denying Google's accusation--apparently it is well within the terms and conditions of IE that Microsoft can use Google searches performed by people using IE as information for Bing:

As of December 2010, nearly a third (31%) of all mobile consumers in the United States owned smartphones, cellphones with app-based, web-enabled operating systems. But smartphone penetration is even higher among mobile users who are part of ethnic and racial minorities in the U.S. – namely Asian/Pacific Islanders (45%), Hispanics (45%) and African-Americans (33%), populations that also tend to skew younger. Meanwhile, only 27 percent of White mobile users reported owning a smartphone.
Although only 42 percent of Whites who purchased a mobile phone in the past six months chose a smartphone over a feature phone, 60 percent of Asians/Pacific Islanders, 56 percent of Hispanics, and 44 of African Americans who recently bought cellphones chose smartphones.
Apple's iOs is the favorite among U.S. smartphone owners who are Asians/Pacific Islanders. Thirty-six percent of Asian/Pacific Islander who own smartphones have iPhones. On the other hand, RIM Blackberry is preferred by 31 percent of African-American smartphone owners.
