LOTD for November 22

The US and Kazakh governments completed the secret transfer of 11 tons of highly enriched uranium and 3 tons of plutonium, moving it 1,890 miles by rail and road across Kazakhstan.  The nuclear material could have been used to make more than 770 nuclear bombs and had been at a location feared vulnerable to terrorist attack.  This operation started under Pres. Clinton, continued under Pres. Bush, and was finally completed under Pres. Obama:
