Verizon has set their goal to launch LTE in 30 NFL cities by the end of the year, but they just announced that they will launch LTE in *38* cities and 62 airports this year. They say their LTE speed in a fully loaded network will still be 5-12 Mbps (10x faster than their 3G speeds!) and the latency of 30 ms is twice as fast as their 3G network. AT&T said that LTE devices won't be available soon and Verizon says they will have 6 LTE smartphones and tablets in the first half of next year and will be showing them off at CES in January:
