Spray-on clothing developed could be wonderful for people in a hurry, but could be life-savers for first responders and soldiers in the field that could use spray-on bandages. Drugs may be added to the spray-on bandages to help a wound heal faster:

PG&E wasn't able to stop the gas flow for TWO HOURS after the San Bruno natural gas pipeline exploded due to the 54-year-old pipeline missing standard safety technology. Modern pipelines have automated valves that stop gas flow when sensors detect a pressure drop...but to shut off the San Bruno pipeline, workers had to find the keys and drive to *two* secured sites 1-2 miles away from the fire and manually crank valves shut:

Comscore released the latest quarterly results for US smartphone subscriber levels and Android passed Windows Mobile for smartphone market share sometime in May. Android was up 5 share points (12% of smartphone owners to 17%), Microsoft was down 2.2, RIM was down 1.8, and Apple was down 1.3. Note that this is before the Droid X, iPhone 4, Droid 2, and the 4 Samsung Android phones came out, so Android's and Apple's market share probably is higher now and RIM and Windows Mobile are probably down:
