The Department of Homeland Security announced it will buy *3,000* dogs from breeders at the cost of *$4,535* per dog, but only 20% of dogs successfully complete the training process so this will result in the breeding of 15,000 dogs...with 12,000 ending up in shelters! One expert says that they should do what police departments do and adopt their dogs from shelters:

Identity thieves are now going after the Social Security numbers of kids even before they get a bank account, with hundreds of online businesses selling those numbers under another name to help people establish phony credit and run up huge debts they will never pay off. There are apparently no laws to prosecute these people under due to a legal gray area and this could threaten the US's entire credit system:
