Sweden converts garbage into energy, but because their people are so good at recyling they have run out of trash in their landfills.  They have to get trash from other countries to fuel their waste-to-energy factories that provide electricity to 250,000 homes and 20% of their heating.  The other European countries are paying Sweden to take the trash that Sweden needs to provide electricity for their people!  So, their are economic benefits for Sweden in addition to the significant environmental benefits:
