LOTD for August 23

Verizon is using Verizon Max to try to tempt people to give up their unlimited data plans...but a limited time, unlimited data customers can get 6GB/month for $30 (6GB instead of the standard 2GB that $30/month gets) or an 8GB block for $50 that includes tethering (that normally costs $60/month together).  Customers do not have to sign up for a shared data plan to get this deal:

Amazon is testing a wireless network using Globalstar's spectrum that could result in a new broadband service and allow Amazon to connect its Kindle devices (and soon their smartphone lineup) to the Internet:
