LOTD for August 1

Oklahoma woman is suing the state because they won't give her a driver's license since she refused to take the high-resolution photograph required to get a license.  Her lawsuit says that collecting biometric data is "a sign of the Antichrist which is mentioned in the Bible's Book of Revelation".  I find it interesting that she went alon with the fingerprinting 2 years ago but she drew the line at getting her picture taken:

T-Mobile and Sprint know that the only way they can increase their market share significantly is by getting Verizon and AT&T customers to switch to them...but churn on Verizon was just 0.91% last year and AT&T was at 1.08%.  Last year 3.3 million net subscribers were added to Verizon/AT&T/Sprint/T-Mobile and Verizon and T-Mobile had ALL of the 3.3 mil subscriber gain.  Trouble for Sprint and T-Mobile is that many Verizon and AT&T customers are on family or enterprise plans so they aren't likely to switch, plus Verizon and AT&T have more extensive LTE networks:

More than 100 seagulls died in a British lake apparently because they got drunk from eating flying ants.  Eating the flying ants releases formic acid, and formic acid acts like alcohol in the digestive systems of seagulls:

Buffalo man was arrested for DUI when he entered a police road check while drinking a beer!  He also had bald tires on his car, but the he probably wouldn't have been arrested if he hadn't been drinking alcohol in front of the police.  His breath test only showed a blood-alcohol content of 0.09, so he probably would have passed the test if he hadn't been drinking then:
