The Postal Service gave in to opposition from Congress and said that it won't stop Saturday mail delivery...but now they have to raise mailing rates or some other thing to stop their $15.9 bil annual loss:

Francis Crick's heirs are selling off his artifacts to raise money to benefit scientific research. The letter that he wrote to his son about his discovery of DNA (which won the Nobel Prize) was sold to an anonymous buyer at a record-breaking $5.3 mil auction price (over $6 mil after commission). The pre-sale estimate was $1 mil and the record for a letter was one by Abraham Lincoln that sold for $3.4 mil after commission. They are now auctioning his Nobel Prize medal today:
