My wife really liked checking her Facebook account on her phone, but she uninstalled it after getting horrible, failed constant update problems with Facebook this week.  It turns out that Facebook may be breaching their developer agreement with Google to release an update of their device outside of Google Play...and *silently* pushing software to a user's phone even without that user's knowledge and without that user asking for the update.  Facebook has let this malware-like behaviour go on for 3 days without posting anything about what they are doing with this huge download.  If a user turns on their WiFi, Facebook will try to overwrite their app without something else...they won't givew a change log so nobody knows exactly what Facebook wants to install on their phone:

Marketing executives are happy that Facebook is apparently going to adopt hashtags, which will help in advertising campaigns...I'm guessing that Twitter is less happy about that:

Column about how Samsung appears to want to make Android irrelevant, with Samsung dominating Android sales and releasing so many Samsung-only software features:

With HTC's smartphone sales in the tank and their company struggling they appear to have decided to publicly makes things personal with Samsung and criticize them.  HTC's mocking of the Galaxy S4 seems a little forced to me...

Survey found that only 26% of UK Expo attendees spent 5 days a week in their offices, where just 5 years ago 57% did.  The number of people spending less than 1 day a week in the office went from 7% five years ago to 15% today:

The Samsung Galaxy S4 will have Samsung's 8-core 1.6GHz chip powering it in most countries, but the US and some other markets will get Qualcomm's 1.9GHz quad-core chip instead:
