Analysis of Kepler data shows that about 1 out of 6 stars has an Earth-sized planet...in other words, our Milky Way galaxy has at least 17 billion Earth-sized worlds:

Dish has now outbid Sprint for Clearwire. Sprint offered $2.97 per share for the 49% of Clearwire it doesn't own and Dish offered $3.30 per share. However, Sprint is saying that their bid is better than Dish's bid even though it is for less money...and that Clearwire isn't allowed to do much of what Dish wants it for because of Sprint's deal with Clearwire. Basically, Sprint is the majority owner of Clearwire and isn't going to make it easy for anyone to outbid them for Clearwire...

Verizon Wireless had its best 4Q in their history, with 2.1 million net adds. They credit their family data sharing plans. They also say that they are in favor of dropping prices and eliminating smartphone subsidies, but that customers prefer cheaper phones even if they pay more money in the end:
