LOTD for February 14

The Air Force issued a Notice of Proposed Debarment to Booz Allen Hamilton because the Air Force Lt. Colonel  that they hired brought to their office an external hard drive that contained non-public information regarding an Air Force IT services contract that BAH planned to submit a proposal for. The former Lt. Colonel also emailed his bosses at BAH (and the information was forwarded to other BAH employees) information regarding the prior contract award. BAH fired Mr. Meneses last year and the Air Force proposed to debar him 5 months ago:

Study in the Boston area over a 10-year period found that air pollution, even at levels considered safe by federal regulations, increases the risk of stroke by 34%!  The study of the 1,700 stroke patients found that there was a significantly higher risk of strokes on days when the EPA's air quality index was yellow instead of green, even though yellow is supposed to be safe:

A number of steam generator tubes will be removed from service at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (which provides about 20% of San Diego's electricity) after an inspection found accelerated wear on the components at the northern reactor. The southern reactor was shut down 2 weeks ago due to a leak was detected in its generator tubes, with some radioactive gas from that leak possibly reaching the atmosphere--they are conducting inspections to find out the cause of the leak:

The ideal demographic for DogTV is stay-at-home dogs and the owners who feel guilty about leaving them alone all day.
San Diego is a huge dog city, with Dog Beach and dog parks and estimated to be in the top 5 cities in the US for dog ownership and spending on dogs. Now San Diego is the only city in the world to get DogTV, the first TV channel created for dogs to watch with or without their humans!  Their target market is stay-at-home dogs and the owners who feel guilty enough about leaving them alone all day that they will pay $4.99 per month for the DogTV channel:

Woman with Selective Eating Disorder has been warned by her doctors that her diet of ONLY cheese and tomato pizza could result in her death. The 33-year-old woman has only eaten that specific type of pizza for the past 31 years, and she gags if anything else is put into her mouth, shaking if she is just presented any other type of food:
