It is sad to read about how the city of San Diego has usd general tax money to make supplemental payments to retirees...basically, setting up a tax shelter to pay pensions that exceed IRS limits and are officially "excess benefits". A city attorney getting $304k/year for his pension...wow. A councilman who "retired" at age 32 because he was convicted of federal corruption charges is getting his pension at age 35...we still have to pay his pension when he was convicted of corruption?
