LOTD for February 10

Arizona is voting on a bill next week that will stop automatic US citizenship for children of illegal immigrants, with 13 other states possibly introducing similar bills this year:

Nokia's CEO is apparently going to announce an alliance with Microsoft to put Windows Phone 7 on Nokia phones. Nokia prefers to have a strategic partnership with a software company like Microsoft instead of just being one of many companies that license Android software, as Nokia wants to use their market share (which Android is quickly eating away at) with Microsoft's software platform. Nokia's CEO choosing Windows Phone 7 over Android was something that I thought would happen since the CEO was in charge of Microsoft's business software division when Nokia hired him:

Clearwire will stop opening new retail stores because they need to save money. Clearwire has warned that they don't have enough cash to complete their network, but I would think that the stores bring in revenue for them by getting customers...maybe the retail stores haven't been that successful, otherwise I don't see why they would stop building new ones:

Verizon said just a few months ago that they wouldn't rush VoLTE because they could use their mature 3G network to handle their voice traffic...but instead of adding VoLTE in 2013 like they had said they are rushing to add VoLTE *this year*.  VoLTE would enable LTE users to have simultaneous data and voice use on their LTE phones, plus it would make more 3G network space available for iPhone users:
