Tests of drinking water in 35 major cities in the US found that *25* of the cities had higher levels of the carcinogen hexavalent chromium than is said to be safe.  Chromium became famous when it was spotlighted in the movie Erin Brockvich, about the case where PG&E had to pay $333 million since their leaking chromium into the ground water caused the town to get cancer:
