Estimates are that China's wind power production will increase from 25.8 gigawatts at the end of last year to up to 253 gigawatts by 2020!  That would cut more than 400 million tonnes of CO2 emissions, or 150+ million tonnes of coal consumption:

Sprint came up with a *great* way to reduce churn for its Boost Mobile brand.  For every 6 months a customer is with Boost, they will get $5 off from their monthly bill (up to $15 off):

Fox is having pricing disputes with Dish Network and Cablevision, with channels apparently going to be pulled from Cablevision tomorrow and from Dish on November 1 (some Fox sports channels were taken off Dish recently also).  It sure seems that Fox is asking for *huge* price increases as a way to fatten their bottom line (and force consumers to pay a lot more for TV): for 2 local channels in NY, Fox wants Cablevision to go from paying $8.6 million/year to $34 million/year!  They want Fox Business channel to go from $3.7 million/year to $18.4 million/year and want 5x or so increases for National Geographic Wild and Fox Deportes:
