A federal judge ruled that a monopoly abuse lawsuit against Apple and AT&T can move forward as a class action. This consolidates several lawsuits filed by iPhone buyers starting in 2007 about how the iPhone could only be used on AT&T's network and about how Apple has control over the applications iPhone owners can install on their phones:

Fring says that Skype blocking their users from using them because they are afraid of open mobile communications. fring even calls Skype "Cowards" in their press release! Skype says that Fring is lying and that it was *Fring* that removed Skype functionality from their iPhone app! Rarely do disputes like this play out so openly, especially when it should be fairly straightforward to find out which company is lying:

Article about how the shortages of the HTC EVO (due to the limited availability of its touchscreen, just like why the HTC Incredible is out of stock at Verizon) may hinder Sprint's 4G lead. One reason Sprint selected WiMAX instead of LTE for 4G was they wanted to get to 4G earlier...if the phones are delayed, then Sprint's 4G network advantage is reduced. Verizon has been hurt by the HTC Droid Incredible shortage, but they have the Droid X coming up this week and the Droid 2 coming out next week...and both are from Motorola, which has not had a shortage problem because it uses a different touchscreen technology:
