I've read a lot of articles about the concern that electromagnetic radiation from cell phones could cause cancer or have other negative effects, but never read anything positive about that radiation until now...but a study found that cell phone radiation may *improve* memory and protect against Alzheimer's disease! The research indicates that cell phone radiation should be studied as a potential treatment for Alzheimer's:

It appears that the ocean is acting like a dirty filter and is becoming less efficient at absorbing CO2, the major greenhouse gas produced by burning fossil-fuels. The oceans were able to keep up with CO2 emissions in the 1950s, but its absorption rate started slowing in the 1980s and the oceans have absorbed much less CO2 since 2000:

Maine woman who shot her husband while he slept won't have to go to prison for killing him--the plea bargain agreement called for her to spend a year or less in jail (out of her 8 year sentence), but the judge suspended the sentence. Her husband had subjected her and her daughter to years of extreme abuse and after his death it was discovered that he was a white supremacist with lots of Nazi memorabilia, was obsessed with child porn, and was so upset about Pres. Obama's election that he gathered a lot of bomb-making materials:

I think that it is pretty odd that a cat was summoned for jury duty in Boston, but I'm sure those types of mistakes happen...what I think is *really* strange is that the jury commissioner denied the request to cancel the jury summons, as I would think that being a cat should be adequate reason to get out of jury duty!
