LOTD for December 5

It is REALLY sad to read about the documentary on the Octomom, where she admits that she is overwhelmed despite having *4* full-time nannies, a night nanny, a woman who helps with bathing and bedtime, and apparently enough free time that she can work out for 2 hours every night. Her 8-year-old suffers from ADD and is so jealous over the octuplets that he still insists on sleeping in her bad at night...and he's seen throwing a fit during the documentary that ends with him *throwing a screwdriver* at his Mom, drawing blood from her nose:

Study found that women who revealed around 40% of their skin at a nightclub attracted twice as many men as women who covered themselves up. However, women who exposed more than 40% of their skin were *less* successful at attracting men. The study concluded that showing more than 40% of skin changes the signal given by women from "allure" to one indicating future infidelity:

My kids would *love* to stay at this hotel in France that has a "Hamster Villa", where guests feast on hamster grain, get a workout by running on a giant wheel and sleep in hay stacks:

Illinois Zoo is hoping to make up for the $200k they lost in city budget cuts by selling reindeer-poop necklaces. Last year their reindeer poop Christmas ornaments were a good seller for them:

After having their 400-pound tortoise named Mary for 50 years, the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo was shocked to find out that the turtle was actually a male!

A 2-year-old in Mississippi was the only person around to help his mother deliver her baby. He got her a towel and even caught the baby!

Book kept in a guest bathroom in a UK home turned out to be a rare first edition of Darwin's "On the Origin of Species"! It went for $172,630 as a recent auction:
