Researchers found that about 30% of showerheads have significant levels of Mycobacterium avium, a pathogen linked to pulmonary disease that most often infects people with compromised immune systems but which can occasionally infect healthy people. It can actually be dangerous to take showers if that pathogen is being sprayed by the showerhead! Plastic showerheads seem to gather the pathogens more than metal showerheads:

Woman instilled in her children the belief that children are a great joy and they should be fruitful and multiply. She had 11 children, 150 grandchildren, more than 1,000 great-grandchildren, and hundreds on great-great-grandchildren before she died. When she died at 99-years-old, she had more than 1,400 direct descendants and reportedly knew all of them!

JPL researchers are studying mice in simulated zero-g type of conditions. Studying the mice while they are levitated helps them study what kind of physiological impact is due to prolonged
microgravity, and what they could have astronauts do to avoid the effects of being without gravity for extended periods of time:

South Florida is faced with a "nightmare" due to the rock python (Africa's biggest snake) that is very dangerous snake. All of the giant rock pythons were found in a single square mile of a Miami suburb, so it appears that pet breeders who were unprepared for the pythons' ferocity released them into the wild (1 mile from the everglades!):
