MIT professor used to fly F/A-18 Hornet fighters for the Navy and that experience gives her great insight into her work researching better ways for humans to control robots like UAVs. I love the tidbit that the idea for controlling robots with an iPhone came from an undergraduate student because it meant that her research group would need to buy iPhones for all the students:
